Sydney Conley Elliott to be Honored
with Proclamation and Walk of Stars Recognition

"Sydney Conley Elliott Day" Across Northwest Louisiana
Benton, LA – The public is invited to attend the induction of international equestrian and Bossier Parish, Louisiana native, Sydney Conley Elliott, into the Northwest Louisiana Walk of Stars on September 21, 2024. During the induction ceremony, local officials will also present a proclamation declaring the day as "Sydney Conley Elliott Day" in recognition of her remarkable achievements in the sport of eventing, including representing Louisiana at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and her contributions to both local and international equestrian communities.
The induction ceremony will take place at Holly Hill Farm,1296 Old Plain Dealing Rd., Benton, Louisiana at 6 p.m. under the pavilion. A food truck will be on site and Sydney will have photos of her and “Q” to sign as well as keepsake t-shirts available to purchase to show your support and pride.
The proclamation, which will be read and presented during the ceremony, was issued by Mayors Shelly Horton of the Town of Benton, Tommy Chandler of Bossier City, and Tom Arceneaux of Shreveport. Sydney's accomplishments have brought immense pride to her hometown and the entire region, showcasing her excellence on the world stage.
"Sydney Conley Elliott Day" honors Elliott's lifelong dedication to equestrian sports. A trailblazer in eventing, which combines dressage, cross-country, and show jumping, she was the highest-scoring member of the U.S. Eventing Team at the 2023 Pan American Games, securing a silver medal. Despite her international success, Elliott remains connected to Benton, where she ran a horse training school for years, mentoring young riders. Since debuting at the CCI5*-L level in 2016, she has achieved top-ten finishes in elite events like the Carolina International and Fair Hill International and represented the U.S. in FEI Nations Cup competitions.
John Lieberman, president of the Northwest Louisiana Walk of Stars, will lead the induction ceremony. This honor not only recognizes Sydney’s outstanding athletic accomplishments but also her commitment to giving back to the community.
Sydney expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am deeply honored to be recognized in this way by the community that has supported me throughout my career. Benton and Northwest Louisiana have always been my home, and I am proud to represent this region on the world stage.”

Sydney Conley Elliott is an internationally recognized eventing athlete. She has represented the United States in major competitions, including the Pan American Games and the FEI Nations Cup, and has been a top performer at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event. A lifelong resident of Benton, Louisiana, Elliott continued to operate her horse training and eventing school in Benton until 2022 when she moved her homebase to North Carolina. She continues to return to the area to offer special Eventing Clinics such as the one at Holly Hill Farm Sept. 20-22, 2024.
