Tim Brando
​Nationally revered sports announcer and host, Tim Brando, is
a native and current resident of Shreveport, LA. Today, Tim is
with FOX Sports announcing the network’s College Football
and Basketball coverage. He is also the lead play-by-play announcer
for Raycom's coverage of ACC basketball broadcasts
and hosts their five-time Emmy Award winning syndicated
show, Havoline Football Saturdays. Before joining FOX Sports,
Brando hosted the ESPN SportsCenter college football halftime
show from 1986-1994 and NCAA Men’s Basketball
Championship from 1987-1990. After ESPN, Tim covered the
NBA for TNT from 1994-1996, as well as the SportSouth television
coverage of NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and MLB’s Atlanta
Braves during their championship runs, including a World Series
win in 1995. Brando then transitioned to CBS Sports,
where he spent 18 years. His list of contributions there includes
the NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship, College
Football Today, At the Half shows, SEC College Football,
NFL games, Champions Tour Golf and online coverage of The
Masters at Augusta National. Tim also served as a TV announcer
for the New Orleans Saints’ preseason games. In September
2001, he debuted his nationally syndicated sports talk
radio show, and in 2011, CBS Sports Network began simulcasting
the show live from Shreveport. The show covered the
world of sports with a focus on college athletics.
